My name is Michael Benedetto and I grew up in Jackson, Michigan. I grew up playing sports and those experiences taught me the value of hard work and teamwork. My love for athletics led me to pursue a degree in Sport Management from the University of Michigan where I graduated in the spring of 2019.

I currently work at Oracle as a business development consultant. In my role regularly work with directors and executives of small-medium sized businesses to help them leverage cloud technology to improve their company. I have gained experience building relationships with customers and working as a part of a team to hit quarterly goals. I believe that during my time at Oracle I have developed communication skills that translate to both my career and personal life.

In college I spent the last three years working with the University of Michigan Football team as a student video coordinator. I grew from the beginning of my time there as an unpaid intern to a paid student employee who adopted a leadership role. I coordinated up to three other student employees during daily practices. During my time with the team, I grew accustomed to working in a fast paced, high pressure environment and gained experience working with people from a very diverse background. Additionally, I worked 20-25 hours per week while also taking a full course load, allowing me to develop excellent time management skills.

I also spent time during the summers working as a youth sport camp counselor with the Jackson Michigan Recreation Department and KidSport. While working with these two organizations, I developed a passion for working with young athletes and in amateur athletics. I have worked with hundreds of kids and parents coming from a very diverse background and have developed excellent personal communication skills as a result.

My interests include playing tennis and basketball as well as following Michigan and Detroit's sports teams. I also enjoy being outdoors, especially hiking! While living in the Boston area, one of my favorite things to do was drive to New Hampshire to hike. I even spent a few days on the Appalachian Trail with my family, which is where the picture above is taken.
